Core Team

Harold D. Rider - President

Harold joined Realty and Mortgage Co. in 1967 and actively manages all activities of the firm. His experience is extremely diverse and includes the management of all types of real estate, lease negotiation, property rehabilitation and syndication. He is an expert in the financing and management of properties financed through governmental entities.

Harold is a Past President of the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) and the Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®). His redevelopment projects are valued well in excess of $200,000,000 and have won several Good Neighbor Awards as well as the coveted Richard H. Driehaus Award for Outstanding Leadership in Preservation.

Harold holds a BS degree in chemistry from Colorado College and has earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and Counselor of Real Estate (CRE®) designations. Harold is also a licensed State of Illinois Real Estate Broker and serves on the Board of Trustees at Elgin Academy, a K through 12 college preparatory school.

Harold D. Rider, Jr. - Vice President

Prior to joining Realty & Mortgage Co. in 1991, Harold was a Property Manager for JMB Properties Co. His current duties include supervising the management activities of our Lincoln Park office, identifying new investment opportunities, and supervising various rehabilitation projects. Harold has served on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management and is a Past President (and current Treasurer) of the Lincoln Park Builders of Chicago.

Harold holds a BA degree in economics from Colby College as well as the Real Property Administrator (RPA®) and Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designations. He is a licensed State of Illinois Real Estate Broker.

Leonard Grandsart - Vice President, Financial Services

Prior to joining Realty & Mortgage Co. in 1998, Mr. Grandsart was Controller at Century Place Development Corp. Len is responsible for implementing and maintaining consistently reliable accounting procedures throughout our organization. Additionally, he oversees our reporting operations and communicates directly with clients regarding their specific requirements in this area.

He holds a BA from Northeastern Illinois University, and a JD degree from The John Marshall Law School. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Hugh G. Rider - Vice President

Prior to joining Realty & Mortgage Co. in 1994, Hugh worked in the Human Resources Department at Spraying Systems, Inc. Hugh currently manages our Peterson Avenue office, and is particularly well versed in the special management requirements presented by HUD, IHDA and CHA financed projects. He also serves on the Chicago Association of Realtors Government Affairs and Property Management committees.

Hugh holds a BA degree from Hillsdale College and is a licensed State of Illinois Real Estate Broker and serves on the Board of Trustees at Elgin Academy, a K through 12 college preparatory school.

Aggie Jaworski - Area Manager

Aggie joined Realty & Mortgage Co. in 1995. Prior to obtaining her current position, Ms. Jaworski worked in the accounting department at Realty & Mortgage Co. and later became an Assistant Property Manager.

She currently supervises the management of several Chicago properties from our corporate office.

Sonya Ivory - Area Manager

Prior to joining Realty & Mortgage Co., in 2004, Sonya was a residential real estate agent with Prestige Partners Realty. Sonya currently supervises the activities of our offices located in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago.

Sonya holds the Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) designation.

Scott Sanderson - Area Manager

Prior to joining Realty & Mortgage Co. in 2002, Scott was a manager at Rent-A-Center. Scott is currently supervising all properties managed in the Rockford area.

Scott holds an Associates Degree from Kishwaukee Community College as well as the Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and CP3 designations.

Kimberly Boeselager - Tax Credit Compliance Monitor

Kim has been with Realty & Mortgage Co. since 1996 and was previously employed by Equity Residential Properties. Kim currently supervises tax credit compliance procedures for all of Realty & Mortgage Co.’s governmentally financed properties

Mrs. Boeselager holds the C3P designation.

Mersiha Marevac - Director of Leasing and Marketing

Prior to joining Realty & Mortgage Co. in 2003, Mersiha was employed at First Bank.

Mersiha currently supervises the leasing and tenant retention activities for all residential units managed through our Lincoln Park office.

She holds a BA degree in marketing and entrepreneurial studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Anna Cebulak - Vice President and Comptroller

Anna was previously the Accounting Manager for Realty & Mortgage Co. and has been with the firm since 1983. She currently maintains the financial records for Realty & Mortgage Co. and supervises the payment process for all mortgages and real estate taxes.

Peggy Justo - Director of Computer Services

Peggy joined Realty & Mortgage Co. in 1981 and is currently supervises all bookkeeping activities on the property level. In addition to directly keeping records for many of our smaller properties, Peggy also trains on site office personnel in the use of our accounting systems.

She holds an Associates Degree from Wright Junior College and is a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COSÒ).
