History & Timeline
In 1906, Teddy Roosevelt was the President of the United States. The start of the Great Depression was a distant 23 years in the future, and the Internet had not even been dreamed about. Horse and buggy was still the predominant form of transportation throughout Chicago’s dirt roads. It was also the year that Realty & Mortgage Co. began under the name of F. E. Lackowski & Company in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.
With well over 100 years of history, Realty & Mortgage Co. is one of the oldest and most stable real estate firms in the Chicago metropolitan area. Our commitment to the success of our many clients has stood the test of time and remains our primary focus to this day.
